Quantium

Our Culture

Ways of working

We are proud supporters of flexible working and encourage a hybrid approach, where some days you might come to the office and other days you'd be working from home. This gives the best of both worlds and helps you connect with others socially in the office, at lunch or over drinks after work.

Diversity & Inclusion

D&I at Quantium is about making sure everyone feels that sense of belonging we all strive for. We have four Communities; Women, LGBTIQ+, Culture and Wellbeing. These Communities partner with decision makers and policy writers in our business to raise awareness, bring teams together through events and ensure we're doing everything we can to support our global workforce.

Culture, Growth and Social Stuff

Work is more than just your time behind a computer. We want to make the Quantium experience exceptional, and our Sparq program is all about continually evolving our culture and fueling connection. There are lots of regular events, experiences, opportunities to collaborate, foster wellbeing and balance and build exceptional careers.

What's in store for 2023 and 2024?

Leadership and learning programs, events, knowledge shares, classes (like cooking, poker and painting!), new career development pathways, and the ability to move within Quantium to ensure you never stop growing. Plus, we have three annual events on our annual calendar we all look forward to: our 'Quantium Day' birthday which is a two-day celebration away all together; our annual Strategy Day to celebrate our achievements and set the next years; strategy, and our family friendly Christmas Party.

Application Process

The Quantium recruitment process for all of our Graduate positions is a four-step process comprising of an application form, virtual testing and video interviews with our team. You will be guided through this process by our virtual assistant Olivia who will be able to answer all your questions and schedule your interviews.

We encourage all applicants to choose carefully and consider their strengths as you are able to apply for one stream only; Analytics or Engineering. If you are unsure as to which you should apply for, please reach out to our team with any questions you might have.

At Quantium we always strive to get the best out of all our candidates and understand that sometimes there may be some extra requirements to ensure a smooth interview process. At any point throughout the process, if you need a little extra help or require any reasonable adjustments, please highlight this on your application or contact the Quantium graduate recruitment team at gradsinterns@quantium.com.au.  We are always happy to accommodate where we can.

      1. Submit your application via GradConnection

Submit your resume and answer some application questions.

      2. Complete the online technical quiz

If your application is progressed you will be invited to complete a timed online technical quiz in which you will have 48 hours (two days) to click the link and complete.

The quiz will be made up of multiple choice and free text questions and you will have one hour to complete this.

      3. Motivational and behavioural interview with the Graduate Recruitment team

This is your time to shine and meet with the Graduate Recruitment team for a behavioural and motivational video interview. This will give you the opportunity to tell us more about yourself, your experience and your motivation.

During this interview you will be asked several questions which link back to our company values. You will be provided more information on this in the lead up to this interview.

      4. Virtual technical interview (Final interview)
The video interview changes depending on which stream you have applied for:
        • Analytics: You will complete a 1 hour virtual case study immediately prior to meeting with one of our analysts to complete a 30 minute interview, where you will discuss the outcomes of the study.
        • Engineering:
You will complete a 30 minute interview with members from the engineering team. In this interview you will be allowed to select what language you would like to complete your interview in as well as what field of engineering (frontend, backend etc).

You will not be required to write any code during this time.

Here are Mic’s tips and tricks:

    1. Submitting your application
      • Make sure you tell us what date you completed your studies and not when you’re planning to attend your graduation ceremony. This could be the difference in your application progressing or not.
      • A cover letter and your academic transcripts are not crucial to your application.
      • Only submit one application for your preferred stream (Analyst or Engineer).
    2. Online quiz
      • We use a third-party tool (Paradox) to send you a link to the quiz.
      • Read the questions carefully
      • Make sure you’re in a comfortable setting, minimising distractions and ensure you have a stable internet connection. The one-hour timer starts as soon as you open the quiz and you cannot save it to complete at a later time.
      • For analysts - use a calculator if you need.
      • Make sure you’re using the same email address to complete the quiz that you submitted your application with.
    3. Behavioural and motivational interview with the graduate recruitment team
      • Do your research into Quantium, what we do and our company values.
      • Understand the STAR (situation, task, action, result) framework and apply it to the questions asked
      • Remember we want to get to know the real you so be yourself.
    4. Final interview-Analytics
      • You will have 1 hour to work on a series of case study questions ahead of meeting a Lead Analyst to discuss your approach and results
      • You will then join your video interview immediately after your one-hour case study time is up.
      • This interview is an opportunity to talk through how you got to your solutions
    5. Final interview - Engineering
      • While this is a technical interview, you will not be required to code on the spot.
      • This interview is an opportunity to talk through how you reach solutions.
      • Clearly communicate what you're thinking and your reasoning. We want to know how you problem solve
