At Kilberry Valley Primary School, we have high expectations for all students in literacy and numeracy. In literacy our teachers intensively implement the Little Learners Lover Literacy program in our early years, with a major focus on synthetic phonics to support all children to be successful readers and spellers. In the middle and senior years, our teachers implement the Reader¿s workshop model, using a differentiated teaching approach and a focus on every student becoming independent readers. In Numeracy our teaching approach uses the Victorian Curriculum with hands on manipulatives and real-life learning.
Our vision is to "Develop Responsible Learners for a Changing Society¿. We believe that all students, staff, and the community can learn. The values of respect, responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, leadership, and human rights are paramount at Kilberry Valley Primary School.
